Happy Valentines Day friends! Whether you celebrate or not, I think it’s a good day to spread a little love.
When planning a Valentines Day post, I wanted to do something non-traditional. Something that would cater to all groups regardless of their status on V-Day.
As I thought about Valentines Day memories, music seemed to be the common thread for me since childhood. For those that don’t know, old school R&B is my ultimate listening pleasure! Anything from 70’s-90’s rings my bell! (Slight pun intended in reference to the classic song “Ring My Bell” by Anita Ward.) I’m not sure if music from the 00’s can be considered “old school” (because that would make me feel old) but throw that era in the group as well!
I typically groove to R&B at work when I put my headphones on and tune out the distractions. Below is a playlist of some of my favorite love songs in time for Valentines Day. I tried to stray from the traditional valentines tunes that you’ll be able to find playing on the radio all day 2/14. These are a bit more upbeat (most of them) for your work space listening pleasure.
I even mixed in a few newer songs and a slither of Hip Hop to make it fun!

22) Fantasy (Remix) by Mariah Carey
Here’s a special Valentine’s Day gift for my friends on Apple Music:

To my friends who aren’t on Apple Music, no worries. Be sure to plug these songs into your favorite music system and enjoy!
What are some of your favorite love songs friends? Do you prefer upbeat or slow love ballads? Are there any R&B songs or albums that get you through your workday?
